Andrew Gilliatt, 2012–2013 Speyer Fellow,
2013–2014 Windgate Fellow
Andrew grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He graduated with a BFA in graphic design from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg in 2003. Later, he was a resident artist at Red Star Studios in Kansas City, Missouri. Andrew received his MFA in ceramics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2011 and was a summer resident at the Bray the same year. Andrew received the Bray's Sage Scholarship in 2011, was the 2012–2013 Speyer Fellow and is currently a 2013–2014 Windgate Fellow. "Making pots is a way for me to reflect on the people and the places that I love. Every piece gives me the opportunity to reconnect with those experiences past and shared.
