Pots: A Studied Approach
with Peter Beasecker
July 13–17, 2015

Tuition $495 (includes $45 lab fee)
Maximum enrollment 15
Open to artists of all levels

In this five-day workshop, students will study pottery form, paying close attention to the nuances of structure and detail. Individual and class exercises will serve as a template to investigate form, as will one-on-one discussions. Images of historical and contemporary works will also help guide efforts both on and off the wheel. The overriding objective is to make better pottery, reflecting a more personal point of view and informed sensibility. Pieces will be made with high-fire porcelain and stoneware and a range of surface possibilities.

Beasecker will give a public artist talk on Wednesday, July 15 at 7:30 pm in the Bray Resident Center.
