Céram-age à Trois: Pottery, Sculpture and Decoration
with Julia Galloway and guest artist Beth Lo
June 8–19, 2015

Tuition $795 (includes $95 lab fee)
Maximum enrollment 15
Open to intermediate artists

Students will develop surface treatments for both pottery and sculptural forms, with the goal of investigating how the ideas behind pottery and sculpture are intertwined in this two-week workshop. A variety of drawing techniques will be explored as the root of idea development. During the workshop, examples of historical and contemporary pottery, sculpture and drawing will be presented. Firing will be midrange in both soda and electric kilns. Potters and sculptors are welcome to join in this lively exchange of ideas and techniques!

Galloway and Lo have been teaching ceramics together for the past six years at the University of Montana, in Missoula. This workshop is an outgrowth of that relationship and collaboration.

Galloway and Lo will give a public artist talk on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:30 pm in the Bray Resident Center.
